GEO tools compared: ECHO, checking by hand and other providers
If you want to know whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity mention your company, you can ask them by hand or use a tool for it. This page puts ECHO, checking by hand and six other providers side by side, using the figures from their own websites.
As of . We retrieved the details about other providers from their websites on that day. Every row names its source.
The features side by side
Prices in the provider's currency, monthly price on monthly billing unless stated otherwise. We do not convert currencies. A dash means we found no figure on the page cited. Quantities are not defined the same way everywhere: what a provider calls a credit or a keyword is not the same as a question in ECHO.

Two ways to measure
An AI service can be queried in two ways: through the interface that users see, or through the provider's official API. Peec AI states on its own website that it reads the user interface, with dedicated infrastructure in every country it supports.
ECHO queries ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity through their official APIs. An answer from an API can differ from what someone sees in the app. In return, every query runs under the same conditions and can be repeated. For the AI box above the Google results and for Google’s AI Mode, ECHO uses a data service for Google search results.
Where other providers offer more
AthenaHQ, OtterlyAI, Profound and Rankscale can measure more AI services, including Microsoft Copilot. Google AI Mode is available with AthenaHQ and Profound depending on the plan, with OtterlyAI as a paid add-on and with Peec AI as one of the services you can choose. ECHO measures Google AI Mode on request per project, like the AI box. ECHO does not measure Microsoft Copilot. From Pro, you can upload the figures Microsoft shows in Bing Webmaster Tools: how often Copilot and the AI in Bing named your pages as a source. These are Microsoft’s figures, not a measurement by ECHO.
OtterlyAI and Peec AI measure daily, Rankscale down to hourly. In ECHO, the daily rhythm is available from Pro upwards. The Start plan measures weekly.
Several providers have a cheaper entry point: AthenaHQ has a free entry, Rankscale starts at EUR 17 a month on annual billing, OtterlyAI at USD 29 and aimaco.ai at CHF 79.
How ECHO measures
ECHO can measure in four languages: German, French, Italian and English. Each language gets its own questions and its own figures, and they are never mixed.
On the weekly rhythm, ECHO asks each service every question three times. Ask the same AI the same thing three times on one day and the result flips in around 10 per cent of cases (our own measurement, as of 29 September 2026). That is why the cockpit shows the range next to every figure.
Every answer is stored verbatim, so you can read what it actually says. On the Start plan answers stay in the archive for 8 weeks, from Pro upwards without limit.
The fact watch compares the answers with the facts you have stored and shows wrong statements verbatim. It is part of the Pro and Agency plans.
Prices are in CHF. Pro covers 120 questions in total, spread over up to 2 websites. Agency covers 350 questions over up to 5 websites.
When checking by hand is enough
For a first impression, typing a question into ChatGPT yourself is enough. A single answer is a snapshot, though: on 44 per cent of our measurement days up to 29 September 2026 the services disagree about who deserves a mention. If you want to follow how this moves over weeks, you need repeated measurements.
What this page is not
- Not a test: we have not installed the other tools. All details about other providers come from their websites.
- Prices as shown on the providers' websites, as of 9 October 2026, possibly in a different currency depending on location.
- Prices and plans change. The provider's own page always prevails.
- We are not neutral, ECHO is our own tool. That is why this page only lists features that can be checked.
- If you find a mistake, write to hello@pixels.ch. We will correct it and update the date.

Common questions about the comparison
What does ECHO cost compared with other GEO tools?
ECHO costs CHF 140 a month on the Start plan, CHF 320 on Pro and CHF 720 on Agency, all prices excluding VAT. Annual billing is 15 per cent cheaper. Pro covers 120 questions in total over up to 2 websites, Agency 350 questions over up to 5 websites. Prices of other providers are in the table above, in their currency and with a source.
Which AI services does ECHO measure, and which not?
ECHO measures ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity on every plan. On request we switch on the AI box above the Google results (Google AI Overviews) and Google AI Mode for you per project. ECHO does not measure Microsoft Copilot. From Pro, however, you can upload the figures Microsoft shows for Copilot in Bing Webmaster Tools. ECHO shows them as Microsoft’s figures, not as its own measurement.
Does ECHO measure through the user interface or through the API?
Through the providers' official APIs. That way every query runs under the same conditions. An answer from the API can differ from what someone sees in the app.
Can ECHO measure Switzerland in several languages?
Yes. ECHO can measure in German, French, Italian and English, each language with its own questions and its own figures. They are never mixed.
How current are the details about other providers?
We retrieved them from the providers' websites on 9 October 2026. Every row of the table names its source. If you find a mistake, write to hello@pixels.ch.
