THREE COMPANIES
IN THE ANSWER.
ARE
YOU ONE?
Your customers ask ChatGPT before they open Google. Every week ECHO checks four AI services and Google’s AI box: whether they name you, who they name instead, what they get wrong, and what to change.
This is what we actually measured
No study, no extrapolation. 20,335 valid measurements across fifteen Swiss brands, every answer stored verbatim.
A Swiss workwear manufacturer
That is how often AI names them when someone asks for suppliers. One single competitor appears 327 times in the very same 859 answers.
A Swiss IT services provider
Two competitors sit at 169 and 109 in the same answers. The race is close, and without measurement nobody sees it.
How often the engines disagree
Across 991 measurement days with at least three engines. Gemini names the tracked brands in 34 % of supplier answers, ChatGPT in 15 %. Check one engine and you check the wrong one.
How far the measured brands sit apart
One shows up in five answers out of six, another in one out of nineteen. Both assumed they were doing fine.
And where the AI got its answer
Across 139,329 stored citations from 9,399 domains, the names sitting above your own pages are these. That is where it gets decided who the AI knows. That is exactly where most companies are missing.
Three different orders of magnitude appear on this page, and they mean three different things: fifteen brands in the evidence set, plus the Swiss benchmark across every company we measure, and one reference customer we are allowed to name. As of 31 August 2026, computed from the ECHO database, not lifted from a study. Customer names anonymised, competitors unnamed. A single week is noise, so we sample repeatedly and only read trends across weeks.
Three things other tools do not measure
Every block carries the figure behind it and the denominator next to it. The full story sits on its own page.
The AI box above the Google results
Google now writes its own answer above the search results. For your questions, ECHO checks three things: whether that box appears at all, whether it names you, and whether it credits your website as a source.
When the AI gets you wrong
You give us your hard facts, and what you do not do. ECHO compares every measured answer and shows the sentence verbatim when ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity claims otherwise.
German, French, Italian, English
The language of the question is one of the biggest influences on an AI answer. ECHO therefore asks your questions in each of the three national languages and in English separately, and never mixes them.
Where you stand next to other Swiss companies
A number on its own says little: a 30 per cent mention rate is good or bad depending on where everyone else sits. ECHO measures the exact same thing for several Swiss companies with the same method and shows you the middle and the range most of them fall into. You never see an individual company, no league table, no top score.
The comparison appears only from five companies in a group onwards, and a company counts only from 30 measurement units in the shared window of 28 days. Only questions without your brand name in them are compared: with «what does company X offer?» a mention is close to certain, and a single project full of such questions would pull the middle up for everybody else.
Middle across 14 Swiss companies we measure, as of 03.09.
Every measurement wobbles. We write down how much.
Ask the same AI the same thing three times on one day and the result flips in almost 9 per cent of cases. Between the four services the spread is five times larger: on 43 per cent of our 991 measurement days they disagree about who deserves a mention. Check one service and you check the wrong one.
So every figure here carries a range. When the range is nearly as wide as the figure itself, the cockpit tells you: that means there are still too few measurements to say anything. We do not read single weeks, we read trends across weeks.
Anyone selling you a decimal place without a range is selling you noise.
The full arithmetic behind it →One screen for how AI talks about you
No SQL. No data team. You pick the questions your buyers actually ask, ECHO runs them across four engines every week, and you get a live read on where you stand, and what to fix first.
At the end of every week four things sit in front of you: a list of names, the answers word for word, the sources the AI reads, and a task list ordered by impact.
None of it needs interpreting. You read what ChatGPT says about your industry, see who stands there instead of you, and get one job per gap: what to do, who does it, what it is likely to move. On Google you could sit in eighth place and still get clicks. An AI answer names three companies. There is no second page.
A list of names
Who appears in the answers when somebody asks for what you sell. Your brand and everyone else, ranked by how often and split by engine.
The answers word for word
Not just a number, but the sentence you appear in, or the one you are missing from. Every answer stored, with date and engine.
The sources the AI reads
Which pages feed the answer, and that yours usually is not one of them. That is where it is decided who the AI knows.
A task list
One job per gap, ordered by impact: what to do, who does it, what it moves. Not a checklist nobody opens.
Not just the gap. The specialist who closes it.
Every other tool hands you a chart and wishes you luck. ECHO hands each gap to the right role, and turns it into a brief you can act on this week.
Tech-Consultant
robots.txt blocking GPTBot? No price on the page, no date, no comparison table? You don’t get the warning, you get the finished fix, ready to paste.
Copywriter
“What is GEO” gets cited everywhere but you? You get the brief: the H1, the questions to answer, the comparison table, and which source to beat, written in your voice.
PR advisor
The AI recommends agencies from three directories you’re missing from. You get the list, ranked by how often the AI actually pulls from each source.
CMO as a Service
Competitors own the questions that decide the deal? You get the strategic call: which category to claim, which comparison pages to build, which message wins.
Four phases, one loop
No agency retainer to read a PDF once a quarter. Scroll through the loop ECHO runs every week, each phase pins, and the next slides up over it.
WHEN AI ANSWERS, does your brand echo back?
68 % of Google searches in the US now end without a single click, up from 49 % in 2019. Gartner expects 25 % less search engine volume in 2026 as AI chatbots take over the query. Every week you’re not tracked here is a week a competitor gets named instead of you.
Pricing, without a sales call.
The first measurement and the call that explains it cost nothing, even if nothing comes of it. When you want continuous tracking, here is what it costs, in CHF. Switch between monthly and annual below. The pilot is how we check these numbers against real customers.
Free until the end of 2026
Run ECHO at no cost until 31 December 2026, whatever day you start. In return we ask for a short feedback call every two weeks. After that you get 12 months at half the list price. Limited to a handful of seats.

Is this just SEO with a new name?
Which AI services do you track?
How is a “mention” different from a “citation”?

Do I have to fix everything myself?

Who builds ECHO?
Find out whether you are in the answer
We build twenty questions your customers really ask, run them once through every service, and explain the result to you in a call. Free, even if nothing comes of it. If AI answers in your field hardly ever name a supplier, we tell you that instead of selling you a subscription.
